It is amazing to help two more families! If you have the option to help people you should take it up right?! Well you know some just don't have that energy or desire! That's the exact opposite for Lori Alvarez & Team, we do have that burning desire! We just helped two families make their next move
So you wonder or think wow the real estate market is really tough (at least that's what I hear every time I say I am a realtor), or they say "I can't believe anyone is able to buy" or "wow homes are just selling for not enough money these days!" Well that is far from the truth! Our team has been selling real estate here in the Foothill corridor for the last seven and half years and every year our production has doubled. In actual numbers we have helped 31 families make their move in 2012. This year is a lofty goal of 62 more families and we can only do that when we get out there and find the families who do truly need our help.
A blessing and the tale of one real estate team and how they are helping families to make their move. This day was exceptionally pretty, a great day for a realtor to be outside. So I did just that. My assistant
+Angela Gareis (always pushing me too find more families, that's what an exceptional assistant does) had created some lovely door hangers to share with the local neighborhood we love to help. So with door hangers in hand and a burning desire to find that next family who might just need our help, I went and walked the neighborhood. I happen to knock on the door of one of my favorite families I know and yes they were home. Now I will be real this is always a nerve wrecking and exciting time for myself as I am always worried that I might show up at just the wrong time! Gotta work on getting those negative thoughts out of my head! Its my story right so make it a great one! Well as you see it wasn't the wrong time, it was God's timing so blessed. They said Lori" we want to downsize and we really want to stay in the neighborhood. Our house is going to become a rental and so if you see anything out there let us know." Well that's all they had to tell this realtor and guess what they have now put our team to work for them! So the next few weeks we are looking at homes and find one right down the street from were they currently live which is great, it keeps them in the neighborhood! It keeps them close to the family and allows them to still stay close to work, it is a God send! So oh boy now with the lack of inventory in San Dimas and you better believe there is more than one offer on this great home! So we had to be aggressive and write a creative offer. One that helps the seller make their next move and with a buyer who is willing too help make that happen we secured the home. The seller had been in that home for many years so you can imagine having to sell and move (I know your thinking I can't move- I have so much stuff) , with the help of some great real estate professionals and some dedicated families we were able to bring two families to the move they needed and wanted to make.
People ask all the time, how do you get your business and how do you help so many families. Or they say I can not do what you do or I don't know how walking the neighborhood can get you business, man there are a lot of excuses out there. What I hear all the time is "do you really get business from walking the neighborhood?" I say You better believe it - I don't help anyone when I just hide away from the world and hang out in my office all day long, that's what my awesome assistant,
+Angela Gareis does, all our paperwork and behind the scenes stuff, boy is there a lot of it as well I need to do my part go find the families who want to be helped and need to be helped, because most the time people won't ask for help. There are the few who will reach out and say help me, and I love helping them just as much as the families, that we go and find!
