Let's go to the Ball field!

Client appreciation fosters loyalty to realtor Lori Alvarez
Lori Alvarez of Keller Williams Realty in Glendora recently treated150 of her clients and their families to the Freeway Series between the Dodgers and the Angels to show her appreciation for their  continued support.
The Banuelos family love the Dodgers!
The Gareis Family love the Angels!
The Martinez family love Baseball!
The Leos family love hanging out!
That kind of client appreciation event is why Alvarez has been the number one listing and sales agent in her office since 2011.
“Ninety percent of my business comes from past clients,” said Alvarez, who stays in touch with her clients long after the deals have closed.
Clients praise Alvarez for setting high standards and for being helpful, courteous, charming, friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
“I really say we’re very successful because my first priority is honoring God in everything I do, second is my family,” said Alvarez, who has been selling real estate since 2007.
Four years ago, she realized she was working too many hours and not spending enough time at home so she started building her team, which has turned into a true family affair.
The one thing they all have in common is they all LOVE LORI ALVAREZ & TEAM, KW REALTY!
“I noticed I was getting too detached from the family so I needed to bring in help,” Alvarez said. “I didn’t want my business to become a priority over family but I didn’t want my clients to suffer either.”
She hired an assistant, and then brought on her baby sister, Amy, and oldest son, Nathan, as buyer’s agents. Even her three younger sons help her with open house signs, passing out flyers and knocking on doors.
Alvarez gives back to the community of San Dimas by volunteering and sponsoring community events such as the Easter egg hunt during the recent Family Festival. She is very involved with Foothill Vineyard Church, where she leads multiple church groups and speaks on leadership development.
In 2007, Alvarez was honored by the City of San Dimas for distinguished service to youth.  And, she was honored by the Boy Scouts of America 2006 with the Baden Powell award.

Be blessed & bless someone else!

Are you ready for the Big One?

Are you ready for the Big One?
Well, El NiƱo might have been a bust but there’s no doubt the Big One is coming.
The odds of a major earthquake erupting in Southern California sometime in the next 30 years are as high as 80 to 90 percent and the impact will be enormous.
That’s why it is so important that homeowners take precautions now to make their homes as safe and secure as possible.

Here are a few easy and relatively inexpensive ways to protect your home, yourself and your loved ones in the event of an earthquake:Make sure your home is bolted to the foundation. Anchor bolts, which cost about $2 each, should be installed every six feet around the perimeter of the house.
  • Water heaters should be strapped to the wall to prevent injuries and fires from broken gas mains.
  • Bookcases and other heavy objects should be attached to the wall to prevent falling.  Heavy wire strung between eye hooks attached to the top of the object and the wall should do the job.
  • Install kid-proof latches on cupboards to keep items from flying out.

Once your home is secure, you need to consider your business. The San Dimas Chamber of Commerce has a comprehensive section on Disaster Planning under Tools for Business at www.sandimaschamber.com
